I  just went out to take a dip in the pool. Yuck. The water is over 90 degrees. Not exactly what I would call refreshing.

These are the kind of days you just curl up inside in front of a nice AC with a good book. (I always said summer is our winter here!)

Oh yuck!! I guess you could pretend your pool is a hot tub for a little while, although, when it’s this hot, who needs water to accentuate it, huh? :0) Would like to be able to tell you it is going to cool down, but it just isn’t…Although it has HERE, so maybe you should come visit!

Greg said that the thermometer on the van registered 121 yesterday on the way home. He was on the freeway and it always traps heat, but still! It’s enough to melt your bones.

  4. You could always go tubing in the Salt River.
We did it the first year we lived in AZ. Our bottoms froze in the water and the top half roasted but it all evened out. I would *not* want to go tubing there if it was less than 100 degrees.

    • I went tubing there once in my younger days. I don’t hear about it as much now. I remember I got really, really sunburned. Also got stuck in a little whirlpool I thought I would never get out!

  6. It’s nasty….but I can only imagine how much worse it is in your area. It’s yucky! And those flip flops….do you ever have a pair melt on the sidewalk over time with holes that form on the sole? Nasty. The other part to the heat and staying indoors is not getting the exercise like I should be.
