The Wigwam

This past weekend we went to an arts festival at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park. The resort was purchased by Jerry Colangelo and underwent a $7 million renovation project that started in July of 2010. This is the first chance I had gotten to walk around the grounds since its completion. It’s gorgeous, just as I had expected, but the security guards aren’t too friendly. I guess they don’t get paid to be friendly though!

  1. This is nice! Loving that Topaz! I once had a chocolate taco at the Wigwam on my birthday. I’ve wanted another one ever since!

  3. Oh, this looks gorgeous! Maybe somewhere you could take me? The security guards are never really too friendly anywhere, are they? The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island comes to mind. You have to have on certain clothing to be there. HA! Don and I got ran off. We just wanted a photo, not to dilute the gene pool or anything. :0)

Love the depth you got in this shot, Tracy. It’s beautiful. I can’t believe it’s been almost two years since we went there and had a drink with Bill. They were talking about the buyout then and the future remodeling. Time is sure flying…I must be having fun. πŸ™‚

  8. People should be friendly no matter what they get paid, though, so that’s no excuse!
    It IS beautiful =)

I laughed out loud, literally, at the ‘take a hike, in a good way’ comment! Ya crack me up! =)
