Murder Mystery (Solved)

This makes me sad.

What a difference a year makes. This empty Borders book store sits quietly among the others bustling with holiday traffic in the shopping center. And in case you are wondering, yes I do feel a touch of remorse – as the owner of both an iPad and a Kindle I am a willing accomplice to this crime, and I know I have ink on my hands.

  1. You can’t feel guilty. There are corporate responsibilities for failure or success. I’m a public library user. I have a Kindle. Did you know that the Phoenix Public Library now lends ebooks? They can be downloaded onto your Kindle for a period of two weeks and then it magically disappears! I am glad to hear that libraries are taking steps to ensure their survival. Owners of retail stores will have to make changes to survive. My editorial opinion for the day.

It is very sad to see so many empty stores—-but a book store!! I have spent hours in book stores and libraries–I do like the Book stores because they have NEW books. Our tiny library has such old books–ragged and tattered but well loved.

Thanks for the nice comment. MB

Yes, you killer, you! 🙂 And you made me an accomplice by getting me hooked on the Donovan Creed ebooks. For shame! Great picture though.
I’m really loving the new header and the layout. Awesome job!

  7. I do miss browsing in a bookstore. They are getting harder and harder to find. I don’t have a kindle yet but, I guess it’s only a matter of time.

  9. How funny. I was think the same thing this weekend. I miss Border’s so much. We no longer have a place with a decent magazine selection. So sad indeed.
