Eagle Catcher by Vic Payne

Last week Magpie posted a photo of a wonderful sculpture by Vic Payne which reminded me of this sculpture by Payne at Tlaquepaque in Sedona. This sculpture was so large and so magnificent I didn’t know how to photograph it so ended up with several shots. I still don’t think they properly do justice to this piece of work.

  1. I was just shocked by that sculpture. I don’t know how people do this sort of thing. The talent it takes, the time, the patience!!! This was so beautiful! And your photographs of it bring back good memories of a good trip!

  3. I too tried to photo this sculpture a few weeks ago. I finally tossed all my pics because I just couldn’t find one to my liking. Are eagles really that big in relation to humans?

Isn’t his work amazing? I think that Randy from Santa Fe is familiar with him. I think you did a wonderful job photographing this one. His work is so awesome and full of power and movement. I’ll take you by and show the one here in Goodyear. Maybe I’ll find the name of it.
