Raptor Free Flight

This past weekend I took a trip down to Tucson to visit the Sonoran Desert Museum. Until April 10th you can experience their amazing Raptor Free Flight Demonstrations. On this day we witnessed Harris Hawks in flight, lighting on top of Saguaros and soaring high into the air. Some of them would fly so close you could reach out and touch them. When it was all said and done there were 4 or 5 of these magnificent birds criss-crossing above our heads. It was an experience I’ll never forget.

  7. Oops, I accidentally commented as “ivory jezebel”– my edgy alter-ego. I’m trying to keep them separate but it’s too confusing! πŸ˜‰
