A Penny For Your…

Sign outside a bathroom in WikieupOn the road to Laughlin about 2 1/2 hours north from Phoenix and 37 miles south of Interstate 40 is the town of Wikieup, AZ. It’s little more than a place to grab a bite to eat, get a few gallons of gas (not to be confused with grabbing a bite to eat although I’ve never tried the food there), maybe picking up some snacks for the road and taking care of any other necessities.

There is a little wooden box mounted on the wall outside the restroom inside one of the businesses that displays this sign. It’s not Pay to Pee, per se, but a request for a deposit of a different kind.

  2. I’ve never seen one like that before, but it’s a LOT different out west than anywhere else in the US! My parents used to be truck drivers & they’d tell me about ‘Last Chance’ signs all the time & how winters were just horrible out there – Everything would just close down!

Ha! That’s a good one for one of Mary Beth’s funny sign posts. They were extremely polite about the whole thing, though.
