Over The River and Through The Woods

We’ve made a road trip from Phoenix to Dallas for the Thanksgiving holiday. I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving.ย  Eat lots of turkey!

  3. “Bathroom with a View” hilarious! Also love the roadrunner.. apparently a rare el grande species that lives in the desert.

  4. Wishing you a happy T-giving in my home state. No doubt they will serve their turkey fried. I got tickled just a few years ago when one of my friends shared this novel new recipe she had just heard about called Deep-Fried Turkey. I chuckled to myself when I recalled that in East Texas and Louisiana (one of the major fried food regions of the world) the Cajuns started frying whole turkeys in the 1930s!

  10. Award-winning rest stop! Awesome! Eli and I have vague plans to “someday” “when the girls are older” travel the country and do a coffee-table book of the best rest stops in America. Guess we’ll add this to the list!

  15. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! The words in your title brought back many memories. My grandfather used to recite that poem to us three girls every Thanksgiving and Christmas.

  16. Sorry for giving you holga envy Tracy! My boyfriend doesn’t ‘get’ holgas either – he’s digital all the way – says you can get the same effects from using photoshop. But I just don’t see it! He does laugh at me and/or groan when I get my holga out but I think secretly he likes the photos I take on it!

And thanks for the super sweet comment about blog friends. It made my day! I love the blog friends I’ve made – people like you really make my world go round and expand it a little bit everyday, by being able to see beautiful photos like these on a daily basis of places I’ve never been!
